The elevation profile presented here is directly from the GPS. As such, the vertical error is more than twice the horizontal resolution and the plot line is more jagged than the trail actually is. When traveling through tree cover where the view of satellites changes often, the error is even more pronounced. So view the profile with a mental smoothing filter in mind.
