FAMILY: Scrophulariaceae (Snapdragon)

DESCRIPTION: {native} These small flowers are whorled in tiers up the stem. The top two petals are white with purple markings, the bottom two lateral petals are purple and hide the 'keel' which encloses it's sexual parts. It is named for the 'pagoda-like' flower arrangement.

HABITAT: Shady places under 3,000'.

NOTES: We were happy to find we had several areas of these distinctive flowers.
