DESCRIPTION: {native} This four-petaled two-lobed clarkia has two sepals that twist together as the flower opens. It has four long stamens, four shorter stamens and a long style. It's buds are nodding until the flowers open.

HABITAT: Open, drying slopes to 4,000'.

NOTES: They add great color to our roadsides and fields.
