DESCRIPTION: {native} This sprawling pea will cling to low shrubs, fences and even poison oak with its long tentrils. It begins white with purple veins, turning yellow to orange as it ages. It produces a typical pea pod with many seeds.

HABITAT: Dry slopes below 8,000'.

NOTES: With many non-native pea vararites invading our area, it was a pleasant surprise to find a well-behaved native under our oaks.
