DESCRIPTION: {native} Evergreen shrub (to small tree), distictive redish trunk with oval gray-green leaves. Urn shaped flowers (edible) pink to white.

HABITAT: Open chaparral in the foothills.

NOTES: Very drought tolerant. Burns very hot.
